I did this vexel because I felt like I had to redeem myself! Plus, I had an english project which required me to make some sort of visual for a poem from a poet we chose- I got permission from Cisya to use her gorgeous photograph as a reference photo. I was going to use this for my project, but I figured my teacher wouldn't have any idea what a vexel is and would think that I merely printed this off the computer, so I did a watercolor of it instead.
This vexel was heavily influenced by panikkuna [link] , seeing that she was the one who vectored this first; I hope that you don't mind :[
No more vexeling for me until finals come and go- Hopefully, I'll feel more inspired afterwards.
Here's the poem that the vexel was for:
People that I meet and pass In the city's broken roar, Faces that I lose so soon And have never found before,
Do you know how much you tell In the meeting of our eyes, How ashamed I am, and sad To have pierced your poor disguise?
Secrets rushing without sound Crying from your hiding places -- Let me go, I cannot bear The sorrow of the passing faces.
-- People in the restless street, Can it be, oh can it be In the meeting of our eyes That you know as much of me?
EDIT Thank you jussta for suggesting this DD, DCZed for featuring it, and for everyone who have added it to their favorites! However, I hope that everyone also goes and adds Cisya's original photo to their favorites as well, as if it weren't for her photo, then this vexel would be nonexistant. So please, add .mess. by cisya!
